Belgian and German pioneers in bike leasing join forces

Cyclis Bike Lease, the Belgian market leader in bike leasing for companies, is now part of the German JobRad Group. This marks the biggest step in the 10-year history of Cyclis Bike Lease, which has been facilitating stress-free commuting since 2014. “We share the same vision, ambition and approach. In JobRad Group, we have found the ideal partner to further strengthen our position in the Belgian and Dutch market," says Joep Kempen, CEO of Cyclis Bike Lease.

Cyclis Bike Lease, founded in 2014 and the market leader in our country for many years, wants as many commuters as possible to cycle to and from work stress-free. Familial character first

One of the defining characteristics of Cyclis Bike Lease is its familial culture, which they want to maintain in their collaboration.

The founders of Cyclis Bike Lease all remain on board as shareholders. Belfius Bank, which acquired a minority stake in 2019, is leaving as a shareholder but continues to collaborate commercially with Cyclis Bike Lease based on its ambition to inspire and guide its customers in the transition to sustainable mobility.

The entire team of management and employees, led by CEO Joep Kempen, also remains unchanged.

New team-mate

JobRad has already put more than 1.5 million bikes on the road in Germany. In addition, the German player also has a successful subsidiary in Austria. With the acquisition of Cyclis Bike Lease, the German leader in bike leasing is now also entering the Belgian and Dutch market.
