Crédit Agricole launches “Crédit Agricole Savings” in Belgium: a digital savings platform supporting the European economy

Crédit Agricole, the world’s ninth-largest bank, is offering Belgian savers seven savings solutions on a 100% digital platform.

Brussels, 27 October - Belgian households saved 12.8% of their disposable income at the end of 2025, according to the European Savings Observatory (OEE). “Crédit Agricole Savings”, Crédit Agricole’s new digital savings platform, is aimed at these savers. Crédit Agricole is one of Europe’s largest banking groups. The platform is already available in Germany and is now available in Belgium and the Netherlands. It will launch in Spain by the end of 2026. The platform is ultimately intended to operate in ten European countries.

European savings to finance the European economy

Funds raised through the “Crédit Agricole Savings” digital platform are deployed across Europe to finance European projects. The launch is part of Crédit Agricole S.A.’s “ACT 2028” strategic plan, which aims to raise €40 billion in deposits through the platform. Drawing on its expertise in savings solutions, Crédit Agricole is taking a new, forward-looking approach. The slogan “Think Big for Your Money” sums up this ambition: the expertise and strength of a leading European banking group make it possible to offer reliable, responsible and sustainable savings solutions.

Seven products available at launch

From launch, “Crédit Agricole Savings” offers one of the broadest ranges on the market: seven products, comprising three savings accounts and four term deposits, from flexible options to long-term investments. Savers can deposit as little as €10 into the savings accounts and Project Savings Account, as well as into term deposits with terms ranging from 1 to 120 months. “Crédit Agricole Savings” also lets them choose how often they receive interest, with rates among the most competitive on the market.

The range consists of unregulated products and includes:

  • Livret Flex: a savings account offering flexible deposits and instant access to funds, with a gross annual rate of up to 1.70% (maximum balance: €25,000) (1)
  • Livret Plus: a savings solution combining a base interest rate with a loyalty bonus after 12 months (1.70% + 0.50%, or 2.20% gross) (maximum balance: €50,000) (1)(2)
  • Project Savings Account: a savings solution requiring monthly deposits of at least €10, with fixed commitment periods of 12 to 60 months (maximum balance: €60,000) (1)(2)
  • Short-Term Deposit: a fixed-rate term deposit (up to 3.05% gross per year), with terms of 1, 3, 6, 9 or 12 months, automatic renewal and interest paid at maturity (3)
  • Long-Term Deposit: a fixed-rate term deposit with terms of 24 to 120 months and annual interest capitalisation (3)
  • Income Deposit: a fixed-rate term deposit with interest paid periodically—monthly, quarterly or annually—over a term of 24 to 120 months (3)
  • Progressive Deposit: offers a progressive interest rate over a term of 36 to 60 months, with annual interest capitalisation and the option of early withdrawal subject to 31 days’ notice (3)

Deposits are protected up to €100,000 per saver by the French deposit guarantee scheme, the Fonds de Garantie des Dépôts et de Résolution (FGDR), offering the same level of protection as the Belgian deposit guarantee scheme.
